The formidable massif of the Matterhorn is most effectively framed by a picture-perfect Alpine village in this appealing poster by a designer who, not surprisingly, started out as a landscape painter. It was only when Reckziegel took a job in Switzerland in 1892 with printing firm Muller & Trub that he first came into contact with posters, but he seems to have accepted only assignments that permitted him to stay with his beloved landscapes.
Art Prints are printed on heavy matte finish German art paper using the finest Canon archival inks. Quality Frame with a single white matboard and Acrylic glazing.
