Between 1890 and 1915, the great Naples department store Mele & Co. elicited a magnificent body of posters from the cream of Italian posterists. The years that Dudovich worked for Ricordi, 1906-1915, coincided with that firm's work for Mele; eleven wonderful Dudovich-Mele posters were the result. This one, illustrating ""The Latest Fashions, Elegance, Good Taste"" with two ladies dressed to kill, appears to be the earliest, and still stands as one of the finest.
